Community,

We have a number of great things that are happening in our community, God is blessing us.  We thank you for your prayers!  Several people contacted me after the closing on Loudoun Valley Emmaus-60 and I have even received an e-mail asking about our next flights.  As a reminder our next flights are, July 31 – 3 August 2008.  We are in need of caterpillars for these flights.  Applications can be found on the website:  www.lv-chrysalis.org/ then click on applications.

For the next few weeks WAVA-FM radio 105.1 will be airing a commercial about LV Chrysalis thanks to the generosity of the LVE board of directors and entire LVE community.  Our hope and prayer is that we get more interest in Chrysalis through this opportunity. 

What a joy to be able to see all of the men and women as they enjoyed their closing of LVE-59 and LVE-60.  Being able to hear how the Lord had blessed these men and women during their walk to Emmaus was a real joy for me.  Can you imagine being able to share that joy and the love of Christ with a young person?  Chrysalis is open to young people that are raising sophomores – seniors.  Will they fell uncomfortable on Thursday night like you did when you arrived at the 4H center?  Sure they will.  Will amazing things happen while they are on the mountain?  Many amazing things will definitely happen.  Is it possible that they will be transformed by the love of Christ?  Anything is possible with God!  We are taking applications for our summer walks right now.  Visit the LV Chrysalis web site:  www.lv-chrysalis.org/ then click on applications.

Are you part of your church youth group?  Are you an adult leader of a youth group?  Invite us to your youth group meeting for a Road Show.  We can sing a few songs, talk to your youth group about Chrysalis and answer questions that members of your youth group may have about Chrysalis.  Our next flights, LVC-10 & LVC-11, are 31 July, 2008 – 3 August 2008.  Contact me via e-mail at dad4jesus@comcast.net

We ask all of you to continue to pray for our community and pray for the Board of Directors.  We need your support!  Finally, if you can serve on the Board of Directors please call me call me at 703-851-9425 or write to me at:  dad4jesus@comcast.net  The current BOD has decided to wave the requirement  to have served on a Chrysalis weekend to serve on the BOD for the upcoming elections.  I will be happy to answer any questions that you might have regarding Loudoun Valley Chrysalis BOD.  Our meetings are on held on the second Thursday of every month at 6:30 at Pleasant Valley UMC.  Our next meeting will be May 8, 2008 at 6:30.
