HOOTs

What's A HOOT?

Who can come to the HOOT?

Are all the HOOTs the same?

When and Where are they?

Who's in charge of this thing?

        What's a HOOT?

A HOOT is a Chrysalis-led quarterly social gathering designed to serve three primary functions:

    - for past and present members of Chrysalis and Emmaus weekends to reunite

    - to rekindle the fire of faith through music, fun, fellowship, sharing, prayer, and communion

    - to celebrate the presence of the Lord in our lives!

Who can come to the HOOT?

Everyone is welcome at the HOOT...even adults ;o)   Whether you have completed a Chrysalis, Emmaus, or similar weekend doesn't matter.

Are all the HOOTs the same?

The regularly scheduled HOOTs are what we call Traditional HOOTs - they follow the pattern that's been used for years - singing, fellowship, a speaker or "open mike" session, more music, and communion.

Additional HOOTs are added as opportunities arise, and will take on many different styles, from Service HOOTs (where we gather to work on a particular project) to Activity HOOTs (where we gather to have fun doing something like bowling, skating, laser tag, etc.).

Any ideas on service projects or fun activities in your area?  Email the HOOTs Chair with your suggestions!
